A non-matriculating student who wishes to complete undergraduate courses during the Spring or Fall semester. Typically students who require completion of prerequisite courses to begin a specific course of study are considered unclassified. Unclassified students do not matriculate into a degree-seeking program.
- Our Fall application deadline is July 1.
- Our Spring application deadline is November 1.
- All items must be received by the noted deadline for admission consideration.
*Please note: Credits earned as unclassified students at Howard University will not be considered for transfer admission into the university, for students who eventually would like to earn a degree from the university.
We encourage students who would like to eventually matriculate into a degree-seeking program at Howard University to consider taking coursework at another regionally accredited college/university, and then apply for transfer admission consideration once the minimum transfer requirements are satisfied.
