Scheduling Your Group Visit

 School Tour Groups:

The Office of Admission welcomes high schools, community colleges, and other special groups of no more than 100 students to schedule a visit to campus. We require groups to provide one (1) chaperone per twenty-five (25) students to ensure effective management of the group. We offer group visits during the summer semester at the following times:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m

During your visit, your group will be led on a walking tour around campus by one of our Student Ambassadors. At this time, you will be provided with information on Howard’s legacy and tradition, financial aid, housing, and extra-curricular activities. The tour will last for approximately 1 hour.

To schedule a visit for your group, a minimum two-week notice is usually required, and we will do our best to honor your requested visit date.

Elementary/Middle School Tour Groups:

We believe that it is important to expose students to their post-secondary options early on in their academic careers. We welcome younger groups of no more than 100 students to schedule a visit to campus. We require groups to provide one (1) chaperone per twenty-five (25) students to ensure effective management of the group. We offer visits during the summer at the following times:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

During your visit, students will participate in a scavenger hunt versus a seated admission presentation. The scavenger hunt is designed to provide a fun, informative, and memorable campus visit experience. We will provide the group with packages containing campus clues and directions to conduct an interactive tour of Howard University. At the conclusion of the activity, students will meet with a Student Ambassador for a brief reflection and Q&A session.

To schedule a visit for your group, a minimum two-week notice is usually required, and we will do our best to honor your requested visit date.
